Terms & Conditions for buying goods online

Welcome to Carinyo. By placing an order using this service you are accepting these Terms & Conditions. Please read these Terms & Conditions before placing an order.

In these Terms & Conditions

"We" and "us" means Carinyo
"You" means the person placing an order.
"The contract is agreed" - by completing and submitting an electronic order form, you are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract. An acceptance email from us confirms that the contract is formed.
"Working days" means all days other than Saturdays, Sundays and English statutory and public holidays.

By using the website to buy goods online, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or, if you are under 18, that you are accessing the website with the consent of your parent or guardian.

Ordering

By completing and submitting an electronic order form, you are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract. Please note orders will only be despatched once we have received payment. We will not be liable if there is a delay, and we will not accept your order if payment is not received.

Certain steps must be followed for a contract to be formed, as described below.

After you have placed your order:

  • We will send you, as soon as possible, an email to acknowledge your order. It will confirm which goods you have ordered. This email is not an order acceptance from us.
  • When we despatch your goods, we will send you a confirmation email. This means we formally accept the order, and are obliged to complete the contract.

We do not have to accept your order, and for example, we will not accept your order if:

  • We do not have the goods in stock
  • Your payment is not received
  • There is an error on our website regarding the price or other details of the goods
  • You have cancelled it in accordance with the instructions below

We reserve the right to refuse any order. In exceptional circumstances, if we are not able to fulfil an order we have accepted, your credit card will be re-credited with the original price and we will notify you by email. In no circumstances will we be liable to you for any additional amounts.


Cancelling an order before despatch

If you change your mind after placing an order, you can cancel it at any time before we despatch it. Please see the CONTACT US page for our telephone number and call us providing your name and address details.

Returning goods after despatch

Cooling off period

When you order from us online, you are entitled to a cooling off period after despatch, when you can return your goods without any penalty. Our cooling off period is 28 days, which includes any statutory cooling off period.

This period starts the day the contract is agreed (i.e. you receive an email from us saying we have despatched your order) and ends 28 days after the day following delivery of the goods.

Certain items are excluded from the cooling off period guarantee, unless we are at fault. These are earrings and other pierced jewellery.

Making Returns

If you wish to return goods you have a duty to keep them in your possession and to take reasonable care of them until you return them. Goods must be returned in their original condition, including immediate packaging, within the cooling off period.
You can return your items by completing the reverse side of the despatch note (which comes with your order) and clearly marking whether you would like a refund or exchange. Pack the items back in the parcel, attach the invoice and send it back to:

When returning items you are strongly recommended to obtain proof of posting. We cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit.

A prompt refund of the price of the goods will be issued once all the information referred to above is received. The credit card used for the original purchase will be credited with the original price. If there are any problems with your refund, a member of our customer care team will contact you.

For all returns, except where the item is faulty or dispatched in error by us, you will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the products to us.


Product availability

Our website only shows goods available for purchase in the UK, including Northern Ireland. We are unfortunately unable to despatch goods to addresses outside the UK, or in the Channel Islands

Our items are hand made to a very high quality. Because of this each piece is unique. Pieces may be ordered if not in stock but timings for delivery may vary. If you require more information please call our customer services on 07877932164 or email customerservices@carinyo.com.


Our standards


All of our jewellery is hand polished and finished.  Sterling silver 950 and 18 carat gold are used except where specified.

Pricing and payment
Prices throughout the website are quoted in Pounds Sterling, and payment can only be accepted in Pounds Sterling. Prices include VAT and postage.

While we make every effort to ensure that the goods shown on our website are currently available at the price shown, we cannot guarantee that this will always be the case. If goods you have ordered are unavailable, you will be notified as soon as possible.

The price you pay is the price of the goods shown at the time you place your order, even if the price of the goods has since changed. Your payment card will be debited for your order on the day before we despatch your goods.

Delivery information

We will use our reasonable endeavours to deliver the goods or services within the times indicated.  However, where delivery times and dates are given, they are for general guidance only and we will not be held liable for late delivery of goods caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.  
We shall attempt to deliver the goods to the address you specify for delivery, or if none, to the credit card address you supply.  You are responsible for making arrangements to receive the goods and if the goods are held at the post office or other delivery company's depot because no one was available when the goods were delivered then it is your responsibility to swiftly collect the goods.  It is important that the addresses supplied by you to us are accurate.

Please note that we are currently not able to deliver to P.O. Boxes or military bases.

Standard delivery

Once you have placed your order, you should receive it in 2-4 days (excluding Sundays and Bank Holidays) from placing your order.

Next Day delivery

If you place your order before 2pm Monday to Friday, you will receive your order the following day, including Saturdays.
If you place your order after 2pm Monday to Friday or anytime at weekends or on a Bank Holiday, you will receive your order within 2 days (excluding Sundays and Bank Holidays).
Remember that you will need to sign for Next Day deliveries.

Faulty goods

If you should receive an item you have ordered that is defective, damaged or not what you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible. We will help you resolve any issues as quickly as possible by delivering another item, replacing your order or refunding the amount paid. This must be done within 12 days from the dispatch date.

Exclusions

Please note certain goods cannot be returned unless we are at fault. These are personalised or pierced jewellery.

Returning a gift

Refunds for gifts can only be made to the payment card used to purchase the goods. So if you buy a gift online, the recipient will not be able to get a cash refund if they want to return the goods.

Changes to Terms & Conditions for buying goods online

We reserve the right to change these Terms & Conditions for buying goods online from time to time. If this happens, we will notify you by posting the new Terms & Conditions for buying goods online on the website. If you do not wish to be governed by the revised Terms & Conditions for buying goods online, you must not place any further orders.
These Terms & Conditions for buying goods online are governed by the law of England and you and we agree to use the English courts if there is any dispute between us.
If any part of these Terms & Conditions for buying goods online is found to be invalid by law, the rest of them remain valid and enforceable.
